Happy mid-September, Austerity readers! Today we present a paper by Maggie FitzGerald (Carleton University) discussing trends in and related to austerity in Nova Scotia. FitzGerald looks at the discursive and material realities of fiscal consolidation in the Atlantic province, paying attention to cuts to program expenditures as well as wage freezes.
