Beyond figuring out the issues in fiscal policy, what solutions are available?

Hello Austerity Readers. Today we present a recording of Dennis Howlett of Canadians for Tax Fairness (CTF) discussing the issues and assumptions in Canadian fiscal policy, but also what solutions might be available. Dennis goes through the process by which tax cuts create deficits, which are then used as justification for spending cuts ('structural austerity', or what was called the 'starve the beast strategy' in the United States in the late 20th century). He then examines different options available to break this cycle
