Congratulations to Ph.D. student, Maxwell Kennel, who was recently awarded a Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship worth $105,000 over 36 months. Max intends to write his dissertation on the topic of Ontology and Violence in the work of Grace Jantzen. Jantzen, the author of numerous books such as Power, Gender and Christian Mysticism (1995), Becoming Divine: Towards a Feminist Philosophy of Religion (1998), and Foundations of Violence (2004), was a Canadian-born feminist philosopher and theologian who taught at Manchester University.
