Celebrating 33 years of service. Dr. Stephen Westerholm retires.

The Department of Religious Studies recently celebrated the retirement of Professor Stephen Westerholm. Westerholm began teaching for McMaster in 1984 and was the longest standing member of the department.

Westerholm has enjoyed a distinguished career. His research has focused primarily on the Pauline literature of the New Testament and the Synoptic Gospels, including issues related to the historical Jesus.

His recent book collaboration with Martin Westerholm on key figures in the history of the Christian interpretation of Scripture has recently been published. 

Westerholm is a gifted academic and his contributions to the Department will be missed.
