Miriam DeCock, a PhD student in the Biblical Field, has been awarded a prestigious two-year Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship at Aarhus University in Denmark. DeCock will be working with Professor Anders-Christian Jacobsen to further research on Origen's Homilies on the Psalms.
In 2012, a philologist named Marina Molin Pradelhe made a marvellous discovery at the Bavarian State Library: a hitherto unknown manuscript of Origen's lost Homilies on the Psalms. This discovery has resulted in the manuscript's 2015 publication by a team led by renowned Origen scholar, Professor Lorenzo Perrone (University of Bologna). Together with Anders-Christian Jacobsen, DeCock will have the opportunity to be among the first modern scholars to study the contents of Origen's Homilies!
