Apprenticeship Grants and Canada Apprenticeship Loan (AG - CAL)
Apprenticeship Grants (AG) and Canada Apprenticeship Loan (CAL) is now available in Research Data Centres across Canada. The AG and CAL are part of Statistic Canada’s Education and Labour Market Longitudinal Platform (ELMLP).
The Apprenticeship Grants (AG) dataset contains information on the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG) and the Apprenticeship Completion Grant (ACG) applications, covering the period from April 1, 2007 to November 27, 2017. Information included in this database documents whether or not each application was approved, closed due to incomplete information or rejected. The CAL data contains information only on approved CAL disbursements, from January 2, 2015 to December 31, 2017. The data includes one disbursement per period of technical training for each person. The AG and CAL data can be directly linked to each other, and to the Registered Apprenticeship Information System (RAIS).
