At McMaster University, Dr. Anne Fuller’s ‘bench’ is the workstation at Statistics Canada’s Research Data Centre (RDC) where she analyzes data from the Ontario Child Health Study (OCHS). Her research focuses on the neighbourhood factors that contribute to risk and resilience for mental health among low-income children.
Anne’s goal is for the results of her analyses to be translated into usable knowledge that can be applied quickly - including in her consultations with children and their families at the world renowned Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where she is a staff pediatrician. At the McMaster RDC, Dr. Fuller benefits from the expert guidance provided by Analyst Dr. Li Wang.
While continuing to see patients at Sick Kids, Anne is pursuing a PhD in Health Research Methodology at McMaster under the supervision of Dr. Kathy Georgiades, who is also an active RDC researcher.
Dr. Fuller obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at McMaster University and a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Research Methods at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. From 2016 to 2018, she was an Attending Pediatrician at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, Bronx, New York.
When she’s not crunching numbers in the RDC and seeing patients at Sick Kids, Anne enjoys camping and canoeing with her husband, two children and the family dog Cari who keeps a watchful eye over the family while on the water in her own specially fitted life jacket.
